Preaching Ministry
“Among the many apostolates sanctioned by our Constitutions, the preaching of parish missions and spiritual exercises remains our special and central activity.” Passionists have always been a missionary community since its initial days in our province which include in-person preaching, facilitated spiritual retreats, parish renewal retreats, Youth Retreats, study and research, and now on online platforms.
Retreat Ministry
St.Paul of the Cross “wished his followers to pray without ceasing and desired our communities to become real schools of prayer, leading to a deep experience of God.”
He asked that rooms be left open in monasteries for lay people to come and join in pursuit of holiness for a short period of time. This practice led to the development of Passionist Retreat Centres throughout the world.
As with our founder, St. Paul of the Cross, we keep alive the memory of the love of Jesus, who was crucified, died and rose again. In a world often searching for meaning, freedom and human dignity, His message is needed today more than ever.
The fast-paced, economy driven, polarized world, added on to the busyness of daily life can fragment and distract us. The human desire for deeper meaning and purpose in life at times gets diluted into the noises around. Passionist retreats uniquely create a space and time apart from daily demands and concerns. They can help today’s Christian answer the insistent spiritual urgings of the human heart, longings that can only be authentically fulfilled by God’s loving presence.

Youth Ministry
The Passionist Youth Retreat Team founded in 2001 by Fr. Ray Sanchez CP has been dedicated to providing students an opportunity to be themselves amongst their peers through retreats. It offers professional, fun and thought-provoking retreats and reflection days that are down to earth for young people ages 12-30. We quietly challenge young people to explore their faith and understanding of self through storytelling, multi-media, song, liturgy and hands on experiences.
