Serving in parishes originated with the Passionist Congregation’s founding moments in Australia. The first initial missionaries had to work in different parishes as their mission to the Aboriginals was full of uncertainties and short lived. The arrival of second set of founding missionaries’ stories was not much different to that of the first. In time, Passionists would care for the pastoral needs of different parishes across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and now in Vietnam.
As parish priest we are privileged to accompany people in the sacramental moments of life, in the challenging moments of life and in the joyful moments of life. We have been privileged to share the love of Christ’s Passion with those who call each parish home for generations and counting. The longevity of our service to these parishes has been a source of great delight for the province.
We invite you to stop by and worship with us when you are in the area where our Passionists serve. For parish contact information, please see below.
Passionists serve at several parishes and a few communities have regular weekend liturgical celebrations and gatherings.
