Reflection:

We are grateful that God is guiding our journey, but the truth is that He is directing our steps according to His purpose. God places us in situations that involve testing and times of waiting, which we cannot escape. He also leads us into seasons of favour and sudden increase. You may currently be in a waiting period, similar to the deaf man who struggled with speech. You have been doing the right thing for a long time—remaining patient and maintaining a positive attitude. God is saying, “You’re about to experience a sudden change. You will enter a season of growth and abundant fruit.” He will position you at the right place and the right time and elevate you to a new level.

What you’re hoping for may be taking longer than expected. Stop feeling frustrated because it is not happening as quickly as you would like. You are right on schedule; your steps are being ordered. It’s only a matter of time before you witness what God has been orchestrating behind the scenes. Our weakness is that we sometimes hide from God, as illustrated in the first reading. We feel exposed and inadequate due to our sins, failures, shortcomings, and weaknesses. The only way to overcome this is to have an encounter like the deaf man did in the Gospel.

Loving Lord, we thank You for purposely ordering my steps in a way that is best for me. Thank You for Your strength during testing times and for the expectation that at any moment, You can turn things around into a new season of abundance. Whether You do it gradually or suddenly, I will rest in You.
